Learned a bit about socks and feet with this shot. I didn't notice the lines in the low-light of the studio, but they killed (pun intended) the images for stock use in my opinion.
I did a re-shoot of the theme the next day. No lines this time.
So, I've been thinking about it a little bit and the reality is that many cadavers do have features like this on their skin along with many other unpleasant aspects like blotching and such from pooled blood. Thinking as a scientific advisor, I would say that the lines from the socks do not necessarily rule these images out and perhaps might make them a bit more real...
My first reaction was from some of the photoshoots I did back in my film days where you would have your models dress in a robe to prevent any binding from clothing or undergarments that would affect the tone and smoothness of the skin.

Hrmmm.... your cadaver still has lines on his feet from his socks...
I immediately noticed the lines on the foot too - and I think it detracts from the photo.
Please let us know who purchases this stock photo! Maybe a county medical examiner?

Heh.

Yout alk about getting inspiration for stock shoots. I wonder what inspired this one. Are you becoming a little emo rich?
