Behind the Scenes - A Couple Recent Shoots
I'm catching up on some behind-the-scenes shots from a couple of last month's shoots. The above image is from an assignement I did for a magazine featuring high end steak. The below image is from the Fast Food themed stock shoot I did at the end of the month.
The steakhouse image will be appearing in the next issue of the Wasatch Journal, and the fast food image series can be found here in my iStock portfolio.

Awesome work. Very cool to see how "pros" do this :)
I always find it so interesting to see how you can be in front of your huge softbox, yet with it's size the light wraps around so well.
@Jeremy
In this situation, it's not as it seems. There's an even larger softbox out of frame behind the box you see. It's providing the main light. The 20x30" in the shot is just being used for fill.
Thanks a lot for the photos from behind the scenes. I always love to see this type of pictures. Very interesting. :)
I know I want to go to that restaurant and eat from the table that you are stepping on. Sure hope they cleaned it up after you left.
Thank you for the behind the scenes! When will the 5D ll images be up on istock?

@Howard
Yes, after we were done everything was cleaned up thoroughly. Thanks for the concern.
I think in the majority of fast food places, there are much bigger cleanliness things to worry about than a shoe on the edge of a table.
Thanks Rich,
I always enjoy watching your setups. The photos, as always, are superb.
