Today is Presidents Day in the U.S. so I selected this capture of a bald eagle in honor of the occasion. Why the bird? The bald eagle is prominently displayed as a symbol of freedom on the Seal of the President of the United States. But you already knew that, didn't you?

I might live in the mountain timezone, but the server resides in the Eastern timezone.... Ha!
I love the eagle. It always reminds me of the Scripture which frequently talks of this majestic bird. I particularly like the passage from Psalm 103.
A psalm of David.
1 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me.
3 He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.
4 He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
5 He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

Yes the eagle is a testimony of God's goodness to us and of all the things He does for us. May He ever be praised.
