Adorama's TechTock Podcast Interview
I was honored last week to be a guest on two separate podcasts. The first of these has been published and is available to download and/or listen to. The host of Adorama's TechTock, Jack Howard, interviewed me about my stock photography business and my involvement in groups such as Photowalking Utah. If you've got a half hour of your life that you're willing to give up to my ramblings, then click below to give it a listen. And since Jack puts together a pretty good photography show, why not considering subscribing to the podcast?

Great interview Rich (as always)! One thing that you touch on, but don't really emphasize enough IMO is that building a stock portfolio that will produce a substantial income is a relatively long term process. In contrast to the Good Morning America spoof, if you've recently lost your job because of the recession and are thinking of becoming a stock photographer to pay the bills until you can find another job... FORGET IT! You will never produce enough quality photos, get them uploaded and approved, build traffic to your images (and a reputation) to earn enough money to avoid defaulting on your payments and going into bankruptcy. This is not a short term fix!!! Sure, it is possible to earn good money as a stock photographer (as you and I have both proved), but it takes many many months or years to get to that point, not days or weeks.
