I came across this old pink bench on Main Street in Park City last weekend. I had to wonder if the security cable was warranted. Is there a high occurance of beat up old bench theft in the area?
As for the capture, the fact that the only real color was the flaking pink paint amongst the otherwise plain tones attracted me to photograph this simple scene.

I think there are people ready to pay for a bench like that, so there must be those who are ready to steal it, too.
But what was there on the other end of the security cable?
I love that bench. And people would stel it in a minute. I have seen worse benches stolen. Lock is neccesary. Or it wouldnt be there anymore.
